I am not a Dave Ramsey ELP, but the reason why might not be what you would think. I have been through Financial Peace University (FPU) and I think that it is doing great work and that many lives are better off because of it. I agree with a large portion of FPU's advice and often give the same advice myself. Which leads many to ask, "Then why aren't you a Dave Ramsey ELP?"
I don't want to be a Dave Ramsey ELP simply because I want to protect my freedom and ability to give whatever advice I think is relevant and best for my clients. I do not want to limit myself to anyone else's prescribed advice nor pay a fee to be endorsed by someone who would require me to give specific advice to every client regardless of their individual circumstances.
So, while I might agree with a large majority of what FPU teaches, you know that Wooten CPA PLLC is not restricted in the advice I can give and that my goal is to help bring peace to your financial and tax responsibilities, whatever that might look like given your unique situation as an individual.
